Pet-friendly Cafe

Hubby and I brought Oscar to a pet-friendly cafe to have afternoon tea. The al fresco area is pet-friendly and it's called Simplicite

Ordered some desserts and drinks and the staff was friendly, helpfully described the desserts to my hubby and they served the food quite fast as the items are off-the-shelf besides the drinks. Below is the menu for drinks and desserts.

The menu is so cute :)

The cafe is a corner shop and it is not stuffy due to many fans were provided in the al fresco area.

Ordered two desserts and two drinks as hubby and I will be heading for dinner after that.

Sunny Cheeselet (SGD 13)

Cookiecrumb Loaf (SGD 13)

Drinks - Pistachio Latte (SGD 8.80) and Double Chocolat (SGD 8.80)

As you can see from the photos, both the desserts and drinks were so cute

For the Sunny Cheeselet (SGD 13), the portion is not very big. I thought it will have cheesy taste but it has a strong mango taste. Suitable for those who likes to eat mango. As for the Cookiecrumb Loaf (SGD 13), it is made of mousse and the texture is a bit sticky. It contains Biscoff cream which makes it yummy.

For the drinks, first time for me to try Pistachio Latte (SGD 8.80). The best part is it is non-caffeine which suits people like me who don't drink caffeine drinks. The pistachio taste is just right, not too heavy but the portion is a bit less (I thought it should be full cup).

For the Double Chocolat (SGD 8.80), my hubby ordered with ice, which need to top up another SGD 1.10 for it. Hubby said due to too much ice, so the Double Chocolat became less tasty.

This shop do not have service charge and it's a good option to consider for Pawparents like us. They have food also besides desserts. The shop also offered high tea set too but I have yet to try it. Will try it out next time~

As usual, I end it with some photos of us with Oscar.

Furkid Retreat

Few days ago, was my hubby's birthday and hubby and I decided to bring our furkid, Oscar for a staycation in Sofitel Sentosa Resort and Spa. The day before the staycation, Oscar was very happy when he saw his clothes in the luggage,

Oscar: Daddy and Mummy, I am ready to go~

The Furkid Retreat package included one night stay in the luxury room with garden view (you may choose from the different types of room during booking and the price may varies according to your room type), pet amenity box, buffet breakfast and set dinner for two at Kwee Zeen and complimentary use of a pet bed. Hubby and I were lucky that the hotel staff gave complimentary room upgrade

The check-in process went smooth and Oscar looked so happy and excited while waiting to check-in the hotel.

As you can see from the photo, the hotel is like Balinese style resort. Once entered the room, we saw the birthday decoration and complimentary gifts from the hotel for my hubby and we managed to take a nice family photo and some photos and videos of the room.

The luxury room is spacious (around 38 sqm of space) which comes with a plush Sofitel Mybed (very comfortable bed), a separate bathtub and rain shower, premium bath amenities from Paris, modern technology like a 49-inch smart TV, mini bar with coffee machine (with TWG teas) and also internet access.

However, due to the hotel room door is a bit heavy and it's not soft close type, ended there are some noise interruptions from nearby rooms when visitors opened or closed their doors. Hope the hotel will look into this issue to improve.

Oscar was happy to be pampered with his amenities boxes which consists of Fuzzyard toys, treats, many types of food (including kibbles, can food and dry food), poo bags, pet wipes, diapers and Fuzzyard bowls. To me, the stuff given by the hotel for furkid(s) are premium grade.

After enjoying the room facilities, hubby and I brought Oscar to the nearest beach which is Tanjong Beach. The weather was nice on that day (not hot) and managed to take some photos. Had stopped by the Tanjong Beach Club to have some drinks and tidbits. Ordered the Pina Colada and truffles fries. The staff were friendly and helped us took photo.

Although the distance to Tanjong Beach was not far but had to walk many staircases and it was quite tiring. It would be great if the hotel can provide pet-friendly shuttle bus to all the nearby beaches (anyway, just a suggestion :) ). If you are driving, my suggestion would be going to other nearby beaches with your car which have nearby parking lots.

After walking so many staircases, I was fortunate enough to spot a place which can do fish foot spa, also known as an "ichthyotherapy" or "fish pedicure" and Zen with Oscar and hubby at one of the corner of the hotel lobby.

At evening time, hubby and I brought Oscar to Kwee Zeen to have our dinner. The Kwee Zeen staff was very friendly and gave us a nice table. Below are the dishes hubby and I ordered.

Starter - Mushroom Soup.

Starter - Chicken Satay

Main Course- Lobster Roll

Main Course - Cajun Chicken

               Dessert - Mango Pomelo Pudding

After dinner and some walks around Sentosa, we headed back to our hotel. Oscar was happily playing with his two new toys from the amenity box.

Oscar : Mummy, can I bath in this bathtub?
Mummy: No

During the night, Oscar slept on the bed provided by the hotel. He was very obedient. He pee and poo at the pee pad provided for him also. I think if you wish to know can you bring your furkid(s) to vacation, a staycation would be a good start to learn to know his behavior when he's not at home.

The next morning, hubby and I brought Oscar to Kwee Zeen to have our buffet breakfast. The selection is wide and consists of many varieties of food and drinks. As usual, I ended this with a family photos. :)

Overall, had a wonderful time at Sofitel Sentosa Resort and Spa, especially our furkid, Oscar and would recommend to those who wish to bring their furkid(s) for staycation. Their Furkid Retreat package starting from SGD 578 ++ Below is the link.

Indoor Pet-Friendly Restaurant

Last week brought our furkid, Oscar to try out a new eating place at Punggol. It is Nayana+ Kpop Cafe and Restaurant. First time brought Oscar to a Korean restaurant. You may need to walk quite a distance from the parking lot to the restaurant. The restaurant is located in the Punggol Coast Mall

Once hubby and I reached the place, we managed to get a nice seat. For your information, this is a self service restaurant. Although it is self service, the staff are quite helpful with your order and some even helped to bring the dishes to you.

Ordered the Army Stew, Korean Fried Chicken and Banana Oreo Bingsu

The Army Stew is quite authentic and you get to choose the meat. I chose chicken. The meats are surprisingly quite fresh. There are a lot of kimchi in it which made the soup very tasty. Although there is a piece of cheese on top of it but I didn't really get to taste the cheese.

The Korean Fried Chicken tasted great as well. Each piece is quite big portion, crispy and you get to choose the level of spiciness. I chose most spicy but it's not really spicy and have some sweetness in it. Overall, it's still a good try.

As for the dessert, the Banana and Oreo Bingsu did not disappoint,. The icing is very light and smooth. However, the icing is not flavorful enough.

There are not many choices in Singapore for pawparents like us if we are looking for indoor dining restaurant with our furkid(s). So, this is one of the consideration to dine in the restaurant.

This Korean restaurant has two branches, but you need to dine in the alfresco area for the Ang Moh Kio branch.

Lastly, I wrapped up with a family photo as usual. Really thankful to the staff for taking photos for us. :)

Pet-friendly High Tea

There is a 1 for 1 high tea promotion at Si Chuan Dou Hua from now till 31st July. The only requirement is you need to bring your furkid(s) along. Wow ~ that’s a great news for pawparents.

Although the alfresco dining area is sheltered but it’s a bit stuffy. They do provide fans but can still feel hot. As for the food wise, there are 9 items in each high tea set and we were served with Pu Erh tea. The 9 items are handmade and I like most of them. The dishes include smoked duck dumplings, crispy beancurd rolls, carrot cake, and more.

Instead of letting your furkid(s) to dine with you with an empty stomach, they gave complimentary handmade treats for your furkid(s).

Si Chuan Dou Hua is located in Beach Road and you need to make reservation before heading to the place. The sets are served daily from 2.30pm to 6pm, at SGD 55++ per pax and requires minimum of at least 2 diners

As usual, end this with a family photo :)

Pet-friendly Mall and Pet-friendly Restaurant

After eating at The Great Nanyang Heritage Cafe, hubby and I brought Oscar to Vivocity. Vivocity allowed pets to enter the mall as long as in the strollers

Hubby and I shopped for a while and managed to buy the stuff we wanted while Oscar accompanied us.

After shopping for a few hours, we were tired. So, we went to the highest floor of Vivocity for dining.

The place we dined is quite popular, which I think I do not need much introduction. It is the Surrey Hills Grocer. This branch in Vivocity is Safari themed and there are many moving animals in the restaurant. The environment is also very greenery

I think the best part to dine in Surrey Hills Grocer is you get to dine indoor with your furkid(s). And, they have Pet Menu which you can order for your furkid(s) as well.

I think this branch is famous for their Hokkien Mee, but I didn't order cause still full. So, hubby and I ordered the following:

Corn and Crab Chowder

              Pistachio Raspberry Cake

 Double Scoops Gelato

I managed to take a few photos of Oscar with the animals.

Surrey Hills Grocery has a few pet-friendly branches and you may consider visiting this branch if you happened to be in Vivocity with your furkid(s).

As usual, end it with a family photo. :)

Pet-friendly cafe (budget-friendly)

Hubby and I brought Oscar, our furkid to try out a new eatery in Geneo, Kent Kridge. The place is called The Great Nanyang Heritage cafe. The outdoor of the cafe is pet-friendly. Although it is outdoor, but the environment is cooling.

When arrived, there were many people dining with their furkids. Hubby and I managed to get a table and we ordered the food and drinks via the QR code.

This place is suitable for those who like Asian food. They have combination of Nonya, Malaysia and local food. I ordered the Penang Prawn Mee and my hubby ordered the Chicken Berempah Nasi Lemak. Well, not forgetting the Kaya Butter Toast which is one of my favourite. The Kaya Butter Toast is so crispy and the butter portion given is so generous (thick).

The staff helped us to take photo. Really thankful to him.

The outdoor seating are quite limited. So, better go during non-peak hours or if you're fortunate enough, you might get your seats during peak hours though. The price for the dishes are quite reasonable. Our bill after ordered two main dishes, two kaya butter toasts and 2 drinks is less then SGD 40.

The milo (kao with less sweet) is very nice.

Before going back, I took some photos to let you see the cafe environment.

Pet Grooming

Recently, hubby and I brought Oscar to grooming. I’m sure some paw parents may want to find out where to bring your furkid(s) for grooming.

Oscar usual grooming place is at The Pets Workshop. Hubby and I will bring him to his usual stylist at the Nex branch. So it’s about 2 months or 2.5 months, we will bring Oscar for full grooming.

The full grooming package includes the basic grooming such as

  • Nail clipping and filing
  • Ear cleaning
  • Brushing and combing
  • Clipping of paw pad
  • Sanitary trimming
  • Expressing of anal gland
  • Bathing and drying

And fur trimming and styling. The only different between basic grooming and full grooming is full grooming includes fur trimming and styling where u get to choose what type of grooming style you want for your furkid(s).

The shop offered packages for you to buy if you are regular customers which enable you to have some discounted price for each grooming session. They also offered spa packages but I have yet to let Oscar try it.
